After six years of residencies and pop ups, Anglothai will open its first permanent site on Seymour Place in Marylebone this autumn. Founders John and Desiree Chantarasak will open their Thai-British restaurant in partnership with MJMK restaurant group, which also operates Kol and Lisboeta.

Sebb's

Glasgow restaurant group Scoop will open underground bar and restaurant Sebb's in Glasgow on Monday 25th November. From the founders of Ka Pao, Ox and Finch and the newly opened Margo, Sebb's is an underground bar and restaurant focusing on late night cocktails and food cooked over fire.

Three Darlings

Kaji by Musu

Following his 15 years at Freemasons at Wiswell Steven Smith is getting involved in the relaunch of Musu in Manchester city centre. Swapping regional modern British cooking for Japanese 'fire based' dining, he'll oversee the launch of Kaji by Musu. Following next year in the newly acquired basement space will be Musu Miyabi, also led by Smith, and an omakase experience from sushi chef Andre Aguiar.

The Exceptional-rated Osip has reopened in its new location just outside of Bruton this summer. The new space is bigger than the previous site and will also have a garden and bedrooms. Osip's former home will make way to Sam Lomas's Briar in September.

Mary's

Pollen Street Social is set to become Mary's after a refurb following its final service at the end of July. A tribute to the American diner that frequented the bar to enjoy a steak and martini, the new name and concept marks a return to more affordable roots. Heading up the kitchen will be Alex Parker, of Social Eating House, which also closes at the end of July following a sale to vegan restaurant Mildred’s.

Starling

Great British Menu star Nick Beardshaw is set to open his debut restaurant Starling in Esher at the end of August. Following on from his success on the show, the menu will feature his winning starter ‘a moon shaped pool’ and his ‘balloon girl’ dessert.

Tollington’s

Finsbury Park is now home to Tollington’s, a refurbished chip shop transformed into an Iberian inspired fish bar. This is the second site from Four Legs and much like their first venue, Good-rated The Plimsoll, it will retain a lot of the original features from the fish and chip shop.
