Edinburgh newcomer settles in to Marchmont

Joining the likes of Fin & Grape and Leftfield in Edinburgh's burgeoning neighbourhood restaurant scene is Nàdair (‘nature’ in Scottish Gaelic) which opened in August. Chef-partners Alan Keery and Sarah Baldry are running the kitchen together, bringing their experience from Wedgwood the Restaurant to a daily-changing five-course set menu using the best of Scottish produce.


Shaun Moffat confirms departure from Edinburgh Castle

Shaun Moffat has left his role as head chef at Best Local Restaurant Edinburgh Castle after two years at the Ancoats pub. Arriving in Manchester in 2022, the chef brought his skills up north following stints at Manteca and Berber & Q in London, with his next move touted to be at MAYA following a relaunch of Manchester's Gay Village restaurant.


Lyle's extend a la carte offering

Not long after celebrating their 10th birthday, Shoreditch stalwart Lyle's have extended their à la carte offering into the evenings. Previously a lunchtime-only option, the decision to extend the menu gives guests more flexibility when dining. They're also extending their openings to include Sunday, giving diners the option to eat at Lyle's for a leisurely Sunday lunch.
