Thai BBQ to open in Manchester pub

Edinburgh Castle in Ancoats welcomes a new concept next Wednesday 2nd April in the form of Bangkok Diners Club. The launch, from chef Ben Humphreys and his wife Bo, comes more than two years after the closure of Ben’s first restaurant District on Oldham Street and sees them join forces with business partner Danny Collins. Inspiration comes from Bo’s Isan heritage as well as years spent travelling in Thailand and America.

Inverness institution changes hands

After 23 years at the helm of their Inverness restaurant Rocpool, Steven and Fiona Devlin have stepped away from the business. Ownership has been passed into the hands of local hospitality entrepreneur Allan Main (previously a director at The Royal Hotel in Elgin) who aims to retain the bustling buzzing atmosphere of the locally loved and perpetually booked-up brasserie.

Adam Handling opens chocolate shop

Scottish-born chef Adam Handling has announced the addition of a chocolate shop to his mini restaurant empire, just around the corner from his Covent Garden flagship restaurant, Frog by Adam Handling. The Adam Handling Chocolate Shop on Maiden Lane, which opens today, specialises in hand-painted artisan chocolate with 15 different types of single variety chocolate to choose from. Also on the cards is takeaway hot chocolates of varying cocoa percentages.
