Plates to open rural farm retreat in France

Kirk and Keeley Haworth, the brother and sister duo behind Plates, the hot-ticket vegan restaurant in Shoreditch, have announced that they will be opening a rural farm retreat in southern France next year. Plates Farm will open in Spring 2025 for four-day wellbeing stays incorporating vegan dining experiences, meditation, walks and creative workshops.


Artichoke celebrates 22 years

‘This attractive, classy little operation on Old Amersham’s main street refuses to stand still.’ Opened in 2002, Artichoke celebrates its 22nd anniversary this month. To mark the occasion, guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne when quoting Artichoke 22 on any booking between Wednesday 6th November and Saturday 23rd November, there’s also a 22nd anniversary dinner.



New head chefs for Mriya Neo Bistro and Edinburgh Castle

Anton Vasyliev (ex-Sugaar, Paris) has been appointed executive chef at Mriya Neo Bistro in Earl’s Court, where he will bring a fresh look to the modern Ukrainian bistro. In Manchester they are changing the guard. Gabe Lea (formerly at Maya) joins Best Local Restaurant Edinburgh Castle as its new head chef, while Edinburgh Castle’s former head chef Shaun Moffat heads off to Maya.
