Loosely inspired by Japanese izakaya joints, this tiny cocktail bar serves pan-Asian small plates to a grateful local clientele – think Korean BBQ lamb wrapped in baby gem with edamame, bao buns (softshell crab or pork belly with hoisin) and katsu maki with asparagus or king prawns. Most are here for a drink and a snack, but those in the know opt for the £40 omakase – a feast featuring almost everything on the menu. Those with smaller appetites shouldn't miss the JFC, a spin on Korean fried chicken inspired by the chef's misspent youth in chicken shops. Superbly creative cocktails and sakes are the sips of choice. Buzzy and great fun.
