Later this month, a ‘soft launch’ of, initially, 150 restaurants will allow you, the user, to become acquainted with the new Guide format and tell us what we’re doing right – and maybe a few things we should be doing differently.
We’ll be adding to our list of establishments from the off, constantly updating the Guide with venues that have been visited and reviewed by one of our 30 inspectors, many of whom have been with us for more than a decade.
This is only the beginning. We want to be transparent in our process: the app is new, Britain has a lot of restaurants, and there’s so much more to come.
After all, since 1951, The Good Food Guide has been the independent, egalitarian, and approachable eater’s companion in Britain. With this new format, we hope to continue for another 70-plus years.
