Announcing the Good Food Guide Awards 2025
Published 07 November 2024

Announcing The Good Food Guide's 2025 Awards. In partnership with OpenTable, the awards will take place on Monday 3rd February 2025 at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in central London.

The Good Food Guide Awards celebrate the very best of dining out across Britain. These awards cannot be voted for, and restaurants or chefs cannot ask to be nominated. The shortlisted entrants, and overall winners, are independently recognised for their achievements in their field. The shortlist for the awards will be announced in January.

Our inspectors scour the country, experiencing all kinds of dining styles to decide who and where deserves to be awarded the 2025 accolades. Each year the awards act as a barometer for the industry; highlighting how attitudes to eating out are constantly evolving with the tastes, budgets and desires of the British public.

The Guide's team could not be better placed to know what is hot in the culinary world. Our inspectors eat anonymously around the country, paying for their own meals in restaurants, pubs and cafes, as well as destination dining.

The Good Food Guide Awards are a true celebration of excellence and achievement across the industry. The categories for the 2025 awards include:

Restaurant of the Year sponsored by OpenTable
Most Exciting Food Destination
Chef to Watch sponsored by Champagne Billecart-Salmon
Best Farm to Table Restaurant
Drinks List of the Year sponsored by Richard Brendon
Best Destination Dining
Best New Restaurant sponsored by Tripleseat

Elizabeth Carter, co-editor of The Good Food Guide, summed up the ethos of the awards, 'As our dining tastes move away from heralding fine dining as the pinnacle of achievement, The Good Food Guide’s annual awards offer a broader perspective on what it means to eat out well in Britain today. These awards are a celebration – of restaurants that offer food we really want to eat, run by people who understand what makes us want to return time and again. As keeper of The Good Food Guide flame for the past 16 years, I’m proud to say that these awards cannot be rivalled.’

‘As proud partners of The Good Food Guide Awards 2025, we are thrilled to spotlight exceptional dining spots across the UK - from beloved neighbourhood gems to renowned award-winning venues.’ said Laure Bornet, VP of International Growth at OpenTable.

The Good Food Guide Awards are by invitation only and will take place at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, London on Monday 3rd February 2025.
