'Great music and vibes’ are almost as important to LDK’s many supporters as its menu, which has been described as ‘fusion food at its best’. Heavy rock, black interiors and friendly tattooed staff set the scene for a line-up of singular pan-Asian snacks. Plump dumplings of haggis or jackfruit come with a sharp vinegar dip; otherwise try a soft-shell crab bao or ‘dead good’ chicken wings. To drink, Japanese yuzu beer makes a tangy accompaniment, and there's a varied 'natural' wine list too. The place was opened by street-food chef Rob McIntyre, who signals his Scottish heritage with a Saltire on the wall and dishes described as ‘heavy scran’.
